Viasat was originally founded as a specialised operator in Satellite Telematics services for the automotive sector. In early 2023, the Group was acquired by Targa Telematics, a technology company focused on IoT solutions and digital platforms for connected mobility. This acquisition positioned Targa Telematics as one of the leading global players in the field of IoT and the development of smart mobility solutions and services with a strong focus on insurance telematics. With a direct presence in eight key European countries (Italy, Portugal, Spain, France, England, Belgium, Poland, and Romania), and a subsidiary in Chile, the company brings innovative technologies to global projects.
Viasat Connect S.A. is a Belgian company, based in Brussels, specialising in telematics, workforce management, and SVR. Viasat Connect markets its solutions directly in Belgium and through an efficient network of resellers in Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Austria) as well as 17 African countries. These solutions are aimed at small and medium-sized businesses in transport and logistics, construction, technical services, local government, cleaning, and other sectors with the aim of optimising operations, reducing costs, and improving overall efficiency. Viasat Connect believes in a world where distance will no longer be a barrier. Distance lies at the core of field-service companies, directly impacting productivity, safety, and business potential. Since 1 January 2021, Emixis has become Viasat Connect Belgium
Viasat Connect Belgium is a Belgian leader in telematics, fleet management, mobile workforce tracking and IoT. Viasat Connect Belgium, Europe’s number 3 in telematics, is part of the Viasat Group, with over 700,000 connected vehicles.
Our brands include Securysat and aidoo mobile.
The Brussels-based company becomes the bridgehead for the entire group in the Benelux, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and French-speaking Africa. Viasat Connect Belgium benefits from the know-how of the Viasat group in the very promising segment of geolocation applications for insurance companies. Thanks to these new technologies, the user can benefit from an insurance policy whose premium depends on the number of kilometers travelled and even on the type of use the driver makes of his vehicle.
